I stayed at this hotel on 12th July 2025.
The reception area is very welcoming, and it has two entrances with steps at the front and accessible entry from the back for people with disabilities. There is a car park, but it’s chargeable at £12 for 24 hours.
I booked a standard room with breakfast for £89.10.
We were disappointed when we saw the room as it was small and cramped, with barely any space to walk around.
There was no proper wardrobe to hang your clothes, no fridge, and no telephone, so if you needed to contact reception or room service, you’d have to go downstairs and speak to them in person.
The bed was comfortable, but a little too soft for us. The TV in the room was mounted too high, so if you were lying on the bed, you had to look up, which could give you a stiff neck. The best part of the room was definitely the shower as the water pressure was great.
Breakfast was very good as there were plenty of choices (buffet-style) so you could help yourself.
I’d personally visit again, but I’d definitely book a different type of room next time.
There’s a great pub across the road, and the hotel is within walking distance of Lidl and a few other local shops.
