I visited Budapest in May 2025, and the city completely surprised me. Nestled along the Danube River, it offers the perfect mix of history and energy. Walking around Buda Castle and Fisherman’s Bastion was amazing, and seeing the Hungarian Parliament lit up at night felt unforgettable. I loved visiting the Széchenyi Thermal Baths and going up to the rooftop of St. Stephen’s Basilica for the panoramic views.
One of the highlights of my trip was Margaret Island - a peaceful and beautiful spot right in the middle of the city, perfect for walking, relaxing, and just enjoying the moment.
And of course, I couldn’t leave Budapest without trying lángos, the iconic Hungarian street food. Freshly fried and topped chicken and cheese, it was indulgent and delicious - the perfect snack after a day of exploring.
Ending the day with a Danube River Night Cruise, watching the city glow in gold, was the perfect way to finish my trip.
